Metro-North Tax

State Senate Candidate Phil Dwyer Comments on the Proposed 5% Tax Increase of Metro-North Fares

Aug 4, 2016, Fairfield, CT – “I do not support the proposed 5% increase of Metro-North fares.  This is just a tax by another name on Fairfield County, and we already pay the bulk of income taxes for the state.  Commuter rail is vital to the economy of Connecticut, and budget shortfalls should be shared.  Rather than business as usual, we need innovative, sustainable solutions that keep CT an attractive place to live and do business.”
